The Art of Catchy Real Estate Logos
Real Estate Logos are very important to anyone marketing real estate, online and off. There is certainly an art to making a real estate logo catchy. Below are the findings of a survey on top real estate logos and reasons why they are catchy, and therefore, get more businesses for their company.
The Remax logo
Perhaps the most recognizable realty company in the U.S., the Re/Max company, has many logos. What they all have in common, however, is the colors (red
Anyone seeing their logo should have no doubts as to the company name or what its business is. The red, white, and blue colors inspire a sense of trust and patriotism between the customer and Re/max such that people feel they can trust that particular company with all of their real estate needs.
ERA logo
ERA is a leading residential franchise brokerage network. The ERA logo is also red, blue and white in color giving the feel of patriotism. The top part of the logo is a red house with the blue ERA writing underneath making it simple to see what business ERA is in… Which pretty much makes it a complete knock-off of the Re/Max logo.
Century 21 logo
The Century 21 logo is quite likely the most recognizable of the bunch because it has been used much more often than any other franchises’ logo. It has always featured their version of a house wrapping around their name, but the choice of colors has varied many times over the years. Despite that, the bolded fonts, the layout, and everything else is the same so it has always been a very effective logo.
Coldwell Banker logo
Coldwell Banker’s realty logo is made up of a very strong, dark-blue block with highly-contrasted white writing. Many survey respondents said that when they scan through a page of written text, such as a phone book, the dense block of the Coldwell Banker logo caught their attention every time. Other realty logos weren’t as dense, so looking at them side-by-side gives Coldwell Banker’s logo a real advantage. Also, it possesses a subtle effect both in print and on a sign because this single-color logo could appear to have 3 different colors in it when you look closely at the lettering… It is a slight but subliminal effect that more than likely works in their favor.
The Imperium Realty logo
Gray and Red with a Lion’s head. Yes, Imperium Realty is clearly trying to be the stand-out since there is nothing even approaching blue in their logo at all. One might question how a lion is related to real estate, but few can argue with Imperium’s sales records. Their logo is nonetheless interesting, and the lion clearly inspires thoughts of nobility, which is always a good trait to link to your business in your customer’s mind.
Weichert Realtor logo
The Weichert Realtor logo is very catchy for people who respond to the color yellow. Weichert is the new name of the Beazley offices in some areas so some people are already familiar with the name.
A very bright yellow road sign with a plain, black, simple font… Some people surveyed said that these signs are “hideous” and others said that they are simply too bright. Sometimes annoying your prospects into buying does work, but typically not for a branding campaign, and definitely not when you need to build trust with your client.
